Chocolate Pie

1 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
3 tablespoons Hersheys cocoa
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 egg yolks
2 cups milk
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon Watkins vanilla

Mix all ingredients, mixing sugar and cocoa first. Slowly add milk. Bring to a slow boil. Add beaten egg yolks and melted butter. Bring to a boil until it thickens, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add vanilla flavoring and beat well. Cool. Pour into a cooked 9 inch pie crust. Top with meringue or cool whip.
