Red Velvet Cake Frostings

Fluffy Butter Frosting

6 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup butter
1/1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Mix flour and milk and cook until thick, stirring constanly with wire whisk. Cool. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add milk mixture and blend well. Spread on cake layers.

Cream Cheese Frosting

1 16 ounce package powdered sugar
1 8 ounce package softened Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1/2 cup softened butter
1 teaspoon Watkins vanilla flavoring
1 cup chopped nuts

Cream the first four ingredients until well blended. Stir in pecans. Spread on cake.
